Picture Studios is often working in partnership with the Lowestoft Journal and they are providing the weekly prize for our photo competition Picture Studios 179 London Road North Lowestoft NR32 1HG www.picturestudios.net

A STREET scene taken during a whistle-stop visit to Barcelona has been picked out as the winner of The Journal's Picture of the Week competition.

Lorna Hammond, of Sunningdale Avenue , Pakefield, took the image when she was visiting the famous Spanish city with her husband as part of a Jewells of the Mediterranean cruise.

“It was a beautiful place and we hope to go back there for a few days sometime,” said Mrs Hammond.

The cruise also saw the couple take in Corsica , Scilly and Marseille.

Mrs Hammond will be presented with her image in a 12in x 10in frame, mounted and inscribed, in a prize worth more than £60 from Picture Studios, of London Road North , Lowestoft .

The photo will also go forward to the next final of winning images where, together with her fellow prize-winners, she will have a chance to win her image in a printed 12in x 18in photo block worth £130.

How to enter

We are now accepting entries for next week’s competition. They have to be taken by amateur photographers and we would prefer the pictures to be digital and between 500KB and 1MB in size. We will also accept prints.
