THIS image of Lowestoft's seafront lit up in a golden haze has seen Sam Gee, of Mount Pleasant, become the latest addition to The Journal's exclusive club of Picture of the Week double winners.
Sam, who is a student of graphic and typographic design at Lowestoft College , won for the first time last month with his colourful image of Oulton Broad, and it was the colourful nature of his photograph that again saw him claim success.
“I was out on a freezing cold night in mid January, taking a stroll with my girlfriend along the South Beach pier. The night was very foggy so I was lucky to get such a clear shot. The place was just as peaceful and attractive as it looks in the photo, which made my evening,” he said.
Sam will be presented with his image in a 12in x 10in frame, mounted and inscribed, in a prize worth more than £60 from Picture Studios, of London Road North , Lowestoft .
The photo will also go forward to the next final of winning images where, together with his fellow prize-winners, he will have a chance to win his image in a printed 12in x 18in photo block worth £130.
