THIS beautiful image, taken as the sun fell across the sky above Somerleyton, has beaten over 50 other entries to be named The Journal’s Picture of the Week.
Sam Gee, of Mount Pleasant, Lowestoft, took the photograph last Saturday while he was out enjoying the Bank Holiday weekend.
Sam, a student of graphic and typographic design at Lowestoft College, made the most of the lovely weather by taking a walk in Somerleyton with his camera in hand.
He explained photography is a part time hobby, but admitted that due to his study commitments he was unable to practise quite as much as he would like.
Sam, having been named the winner, will soon be presented with his photograph in a 12in x 10in frame, mounted and inscribed, in a prize worth more than £60 from Picture Studios, of London Road North, Lowestoft.
His photo will also go forward to the next final of winning images where he will go up and against fellow prize winners for the chance to win the image in a printed 12in x 18in photo block worth £130.
