100 thefts reported at Latitude

Thieves were out in force at this year's Latitude festival, according to figures released by police last night. Campers began arriving for the event at Henham Park, Southwold, on Thursday and by 2pm on Friday, more than 80 thefts had been reported to officers.

KIRKLEY and Pakefield Youth have progressed into the second round stages of one of Europe's leading football tournaments. Playing in the U19 Region Haarlem Cup - transcribed as the Youth Friendship Soccer Games - The Journal can reveal that the K&P side have topped their table and will now play four more games on Thursday and Friday with the aim of qualifying for Saturday's final.

Vulcan officially confirmed for air show

THE Avro Vulcan will definitely display on both days of the Lowestoft Air Festival it has been confirmed in the last hour. Paul Bayfield, managing director of the air show literally jumped for joy as he shared the news with The Journal during a lunchtime press conference, ahead of the show on Thursday and Friday..
